Roast of New Jersey with Roastmaster Jeff Ross
The Roast of New Jersey, hosted by The Roastmaster General Jeff Ross, artwork was inspired by a traditional Jersey diner. Using inspiration from the icon Roadside Diner in Wall, NJ as well as my own photographs to set the scene of a dawn/ dusk diner run with friends and family. This artwork was used to promote the one off comedy special hosted by the Count Basie Center for the Arts through social media as well as the website.
It was important to me to have the art feel like it was a little dated - like your local diner that has been around for as long as you can remember. I chose to have the background feel darker or moody to reflect the typical times of day you would visit your local diner, and to help the glow of the neon sign really shine.
