Centennial Celebration Logo

Count Basie Center for the Arts

This logo was created for the Count Basie Center for the Arts 16-month long ‘Centennial Celebration,’ commemorating the organization’s century-long presence in Red Bank and impact throughout the Garden State. It will be seen around Monmouth and Ocean County in the Basie's efforts to celebrate throughout the Garden State.

When designing this logo, I wanted to use a more elevated version of the brand's colors. This inspired me to incorporate a gold gradient and navy blue on top of the existing yellow and blue hues.

An iconic part of the Count Basie Center's historic theatre is the dome chandelier that hangs from the ceiling. I wanted this logo to reflect a recognizable part of our historic campus. The sun shape in the logo mimic's the sun and clouds backdrop of the chandelier.

Basie Center CentenniALE

Count Basie Center for the Arts x Brix City Brewing

When the opportunity was presented to me to design a beer can, I had no choice but to take it. Designing a beer can has been on my design bucket list since college! When designing the Basie Center CentenniALE, I wanted the can to feel exciting and match the energy with the launch of the Centennial year. The orange color was decided to help describe the refreshing summery flavor, but to also representing the existing brand colors. Disguised in the back is an abstract version of the iconic dome, which mimics a tye-dye pattern.
